He fell asleep to the sound of crickets or the croaking of toads, and woke up to the singing of the first birds. If you live like this for a long time in the jungle, you begin to understand the rules and laws of nature. You read them like a book. Insects, water, birds, animals, trees, grass... they all see, hear and feel. They all have their own egos and their own boundaries. They resent and worry if it is unceremoniously invaded.
